Trulia Background Info

The following is some background info on Trulia that I have compiled. Over the last few years, Trulia has become a very popular national housing search website.  Due to some outstanding SEO work, Trulia ranks on the first page of Google for just about any township when I search for real estate.

Trulia, Inc. (www.trulia.com),

a U.S. residential real estate search engine, has revolutionized
online home search by offering home buyers the best place
to start their real estate search. Consumers can quickly and
easily access information on homes and review local real estate
guides and agent-buyer discussions to help them make better
decisions in the home-buying process.

The following are statistics that I have compiled from our company website:
CrossroadsRealtyNJ.com

Since the day I started tracking it, the search engine giant Google is consistently #1 when is comes to bringing visitors to our website. Most of the other top website sources continue to fight for their place to this day.

In 2006, Realtor.com held the #2 spot as Yahoo climbed up behind them at #3. Then, right around April 2007, Yahoo passed Realtor.com and never even looked back. During late 2007, Realtor.com managed to hold onto the #3 spot, but then, Trulia was starting to become strong competition. For almost a full year after that, Realtor.com and Trulia.com would trade places fighting for the #3 spot, each taking a turn in the spotlight for short amounts of time. That is, until we redesigned our company website and added a few key features.

The battle between Realtor.com and Trulia for the #3 spot would have still continued on until today if it was not for the new features of our redesigned website. Our new website started syndicating all active listings to Trulia during July 2008. Since that time, the amount of visitors that Trulia brings us has far exceeded that of not only Realtor.com, but also Yahoo. And when looking at the numbers, it is hard to imagine a chance for recovery anytime soon.

Zillow does do a very good job with their SEO. They have nearly 2 MILLION back links. That’s some serious link bait they are churning out. A big reason they have so many is because of the links they have in their apps or widgets. A lot of people use Zillow widgets on their blogs and don’t realize they are linking back to Zillow. Their H1-H4 tags, Meta, keyword content, anchor tags are all optimized on every Zillow page I’ve ever seen.

    Brainerd,

Yes, I agree Zillow is also one of the top national real estate search websites out there, and their website has shown vast improvement over the last few months. Although, Trulia still comes out far above the rest in terms of traffic they send back to brokers and also email leads sent directly to our agents.

Below is a quick snapshot of what each website sent us for a recent period:

    Trulia.com 10.6k visits / 66 conversions
    Realtor.com 1.9k visits / 20 conversions
    Zillow.com 1.7k visits / 14 conversions

Keep in mind that a higher search engine rank will develop a measurable boost in targeted visitors only if
there is significant market fascination in taupe widgets and your world wide web web page
seems in the initial thirty search engine outcomes.

In general, the issues described above are the basic requirements that SEO can
measure and fine tune to gain the highest ranking on the
search engines. However, you need to remember that getting inbound links is not always
    about quantity.

Link exchange is nothing else but it is just placing the other person’s blog link
on your page at appropriate place and other person will also do
    same in favor of you.
