Google Flight Status

Just in time for the holidays, Google has launched a new service through their search engine…  Flight status information right from within the SERP (Search Engine Results Page).  Google gets this data on all current flights from FlightStats.com and enables you to view the information when you search for a specific airline and flight number using a regular old Google search.  To see it in action, click here and look at the top result of the search for “American Airlines 123″.  When you click on the resulting link, you are brought to this page detailing all information about the flight.

Although, you dont even need to click on the results link to simply find out if the flight is on time or not.  Google displays that information, along with the scheduled date, departure time, estimated arrivall time, origin location, and the destination city all right from within the search page itself.  As usual, nice touch Google!
